Food-X Cohort Five Finally Chosen: Our Latest Food Innovators

Founded in 2014, Food-X, named by Fast Company as one of the world’s top 10 most innovative companies in food, is on a mission to discover, support and mentor food companies that will change the world.

“Successful startups start with restless founders, passionate for a new way to address old and new challenges. At Food-X, we’re striving to find the founders who have the potential to make a positive and significant impact, looking below the initial impression and only move forward if they cause that ‘Eureka moment’ feeling,” says Managing Director Andrew Ive.

The 8 ventures were selected from a large pool of applicants and evaluated for mission, growth potential, founder qualities, and other selection criteria:

Rise: RISE takes Breweries used grain converting it into nutritious high protein, low carb flour.

Lecker: Personalized yogurt made at home. Think Keurig for yogurt.

All Beauty Water: The first beverage developed exclusively for women and skincare.

LiveKuna: A range of South American Superfoods & Probiotics

Wasteless: Optimized Grocery revenues and purchasing through a dynamic pricing system – increasing corporate ROI while reducing waste.

Dollop: Healthy Indulgences – a range of snacks and frosting – Non-GMO, Vegan, and less sugar. People will indulge, we want to give them healthy choices with great taste.

FoodieTrip: FoodieTrip helps travelers discover hidden culinary gems by bringing them together with passionate food guides in 75 cities around the world

Fruit Cubed: The next generation of natural, innovative fruit products encapsulating freshness and creating 60+ days longevity that tastes as good as the day it was picked

Selected startups will complete an intensive 14-week program where they will receive funding, workspace, daily coaching, and expert-led sessions from a deep mentor network, which includes Super Angel David Rose, Blue Hill’s Dan Barber, Food Tank’s Danielle Nierenberg, and Food + Tech Connect’s Danielle Gould.

Food-X is now accepting rolling applications for its sixth Cohort, which kicks off late 2017.
