I have approached my career and life as I do all things, as something to be explored, with new adventures around every corner, and new things to learn at every turn. After the circumstances of life derailed my initial career path, I spent my later years forging a new one.
In my educational pursuits, I attended the University of Alabama Hunstville for Aerospace Engineering, St. John’s College Annapolis for Liberal Arts and Clare College, Cambridge for Medieval British Literature.
I have a long-standing interest in Economic and Community Development. I took what I learned from my time with the Lt. Governor of Maryland’s Office and applied that to over 15 years of building and growing digital communities with companies such as Spirit Airlines, THQ and Evernote.
Professionally, I have programmed microcontrollers for the Navy, worked on NASA projects, been a Flight Attendant, designed and managed online games for some major licenses, run HR departments for small business and 5000+ employee companies, and designed and managed the support infrastructure at Evernote from its very early days through its milestone of 100 million users.
I am currently the CTO of ROCeteer, a company that provides coaching and support services to ecosystems globally. In tandem to this role, I truly enjoy performing as an advisor to startups and coaching their entrepreneurs.
I also serve on the IT Sector Council of Nevada to help create and expand initiatives statewide in STEM Education and job growth. In addition, I volunteer my time with Girls in Tech, a 501(c)3 that encourages diversity and inclusiveness in the STEM sector and also with the NeverGiveUp Foundation as a member of Team NeverGiveUp.
