Andrew Ive, Managing Director
Andrew is the Managing Director at Food-X responsible for building, innovating and supporting the emerging Food ecosystem.
P&G brand management trained, and while in his dorm room at Business School, he took a new product idea, raised angel funds, established a manufacturing facility in China and a sales force to sell his first solo product line into major US retailers. In his second Silicon Valley based company, Andrew raised $20M+ from VCs to focus on the data challenge between retailers and their vendors. That company was acquired.
Andrew has focused on innovation, developing high-growth businesses opportunities and as a business advisor in multiple verticals. He served on the Board of the Small Business Council of the Department of Trade and Industry advising the UK Government on entrepreneurship and high growth companies; the National Science Foundation on startup grant awards, the Investment Task Force and the Center for Policy Studies, Small Business Council (UK Think Tank).
Andrew is also an author and currently has a bestselling book, ‘Choose Your Startup: Funding Your Company’ in the startups and entrepreneurial categories on Amazon.com. He holds a BSc from the University of London and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Joe Foxton, Program Director
Joe Foxton is a serial entrepreneur, growth hacker, and technology expert who has taken on many different roles in his career, including software developer at Emmy-Award winning company Proximity, Director of Newsroom Systems & Graphics Technology at NBC Universal, and marketing leader at startups MediaSilo, and CreativeWorx. Joe also runs his own creative services & custom software company, Foxton Creative. Joe hails from Sydney, Australia and holds a Bachelor of Computing Science from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Nolan English, Operations
Nolan English is the Program Coordinator for FOOD-X, where he oversees day-to-day operations of the program, maintains healthy community relationships within the FOOD-X network, and assists on special projects, including the company’s participation in events and conferences.
Prior to joining FOOD-X, Nolan worked in Washington DC for TRAK Services, consulting as a corporate meeting and events planner. Nolan holds a BA in Literature from Bard College.
Martin Noble, Marketing & Communications
Martin is a social media and nutrition enthusiast as well as the author of “The Smoothie Operator” fitness blog. Martin brings a strong social media marketing background and an appreciation for clean eating to Food-X. A healthy diet was critical to Martin overcoming Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2002. A born and raised New Yorker, Martin stepped out of his comfort zone to attend Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development.
Allison Stewart, Strategic Partnerships
Allison is responsible for developing an ecosystem of community partners, organizations, investors, and individuals to fuel the success of FOOD-X portfolio companies. With 10 years of experience studying and working in sustainable agriculture and food systems, her experiences include creating a social enterprise plan for the Akshaya Patra Foundation, managing the Greene Hill retail food co-operative, student organizing, volunteering on farms around the globe, and urban beekeeping. Allison holds a MA in Food Systems from NYU and a BA from Macalester College.
