The Next Wave for FOOD-X

As FOOD-X III comes to a close, we are thankful for our friends and mentors who spent time with our Fall 2015 cohort.

There is a transition occurring at FOOD-X in the coming weeks. Shen Tong will be stepping down as Managing Director. His unique and powerful vision of food innovation and disruption will remain a foundation for future cohorts, and he will continue on as a Venture Partner for SOSV, overseeing the development and success of the existing FOOD-X portfolio companies.

We are pleased to announce that fellow FOOD-X mentor, friend and advisor, Andrew D. Ive, will be joining us as our new Managing Director.

Andrew Ive

Andrew has extensive experience developing innovative and high-growth strategies for new business start-ups. P&G brand trained, Andrew took a new product idea, raised angel funds and launched a business in the US and China. In his second Silicon Valley based company, Andrew launched and raised $20M+ from VCs to address the market between retailers and their vendors. He served on the Board of the Small Business Council of the Dept. Trade and Industry advising the UK Government on entrepreneurialism and high growth companies. Andrew is also an author and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. His first product design, the X-IT Ladder, is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

The entire existing team at FOOD-X will remain in place as we move forward. FOOD-X will continue to fund and support the best and the brightest food entrepreneurs.

FOOD-X IV is on track and scheduled to kick-off in March 2016. Interested food innovators, entrepreneurs, and change agents can visit food-x.com to find more information and apply.
