The Team

Andrew Ive

Andrew Ive, Managing Director

Andrew is the Managing Director at Food-X responsible for building, innovating and supporting the emerging Food-X ecosystem.

P&G brand management trained, and while in his dorm room at Business School, he took a new product idea, raised angel funds, established a manufacturing facility in China and a sales force to sell his first solo product line into major US retailers. In his second Silicon Valley based company, Andrew raised $20M+ from VCs to focus on the data challenge between retailers and their vendors. That company was acquired.

Andrew has focused on innovation, developing high-growth businesses opportunities and as a business advisor in multiple verticals. He served on the Board of the Small Business Council of the Department of Trade and Industry advising the UK Government on entrepreneurship and high growth companies; the National Science Foundation on startup grant awards, the Investment Task Force and the Center for Policy Studies, Small Business Council (UK Think Tank).

Andrew is also an author and currently has a bestselling book, ‘Choose Your Startup: Funding Your Company’ in the startups and entrepreneurial categories on Amazon.com. He holds a BSc from the University of London and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. His first product, the X-IT Ladder, is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Reach out to Andrew if you want to join Food-X.

Peter Bodenheimer, Program Director

Peter Bodenheimer started his career in the food business before moving to technology and early stage ventures. Since joining his first startup in Boston in the mid 1990’s he has focused on building products that drive businesses forward. Prior to joining SOSV, Peter served as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Idea Village in New Orleans and as the COO of Plantbid, an early stage technology company in the Agtech space. Before that, Peter was a partner in and helped grow software development firm Flatstack and co-founded and ran Launch Pad Ignition, an accelerator based in New Orleans, LA where he worked with dozens of companies to help refine and grow their business.

In addition to his work at Food-X, Peter is fascinated by the potential of Blockchain as a technology, loves the challenge of a good poker game, and occasionally can be found behind a bar mixing up something interesting.

Nolan English, Program Manager

Nolan English oversees day-to-day operations of the program, maintains healthy community relationships within the Food-X network, and assists on special projects, including the company’s participation in events and conferences. Nolan is also responsible for building the SOSV alumni community including managing over $500,000 worth of perks available to SOSV companies, developing the alumni portal and local programming for founders, and providing logistical support on SOSV’s annual Skydive conference.

Prior to joining Food-X, Nolan worked in Washington DC for TRAK Services, consulting as a corporate meeting and events planner. Nolan holds a BA in Literature from Bard College.
