If you’re starting a food business now, there is much to learn. Snobbish foodies have given way to the “food-connected” masses, bold flavors are in, and if you plan on selling food to millennials — and you better — keep the ingredients and the message real.
Those were some of the tips from keynote speakers at Thursday’s Food-X Demo Day, where startups in the food business accelerator’s latest cohort gave presentations and keynote speakers included former Food Network marketing executive and Food Network Star judge Susie Fogelson, who talked food trends, and Charles Vila, global vice president of Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB), who shared advice for targeting millennials for an audience of entrepreneurs and investors.
